One of Lotus Bridge International School's Directors, Mr Bhajan Singh, was honoured as a Community Leader Extraordinaire by Mr Ameerali Abdeali, the President of the Muslim Kidney Action Association (MKAC) on 2 November 2024.

The award was presented at a seminar titled "Leadership in Voluntary Organizations from a Behavioural Perspective".
Mr Bhajan Singh had been invited to the seminar by Chief Facilitator Mr Tengku Indra who is the Charter President of the Rotary Club of Kampong Gelam and the Chief Mentor Officer at SDG Global. Mr Singh was Mr Tengku Indra's History teacher in 1968 at the Raffles Institution and the two have kept in touch over the years.
The event was co-facilitated by Dr Ahmad Magad, Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Kampong Gelam and Adviser at Curetis Gmbh, Germany.
Sixteen staff and students attended from Lotus Bridge International School. The topics covered at the seminar were interesting and our staff and students found the presenters knowledgeable, passionate and insightful.
Mr Singh was not aware he would be receiving an award at the ceremony and was both surprised and honoured. He thanked them for appreciating his work and spoke briefly about the value of serving others as exemplified in the dedication and untiring work of Mr Ameerali and Mr Tengku Indra and their team.
