Lotus Bridge International School held our Open Day on the 7th of October 2023.
Families of prospective and current students were invited to view and learn more about the school, take a look around, speak with our staff, watch presentations by current students on the projects they were working on and participate in games and activities.
The Open Day ran from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm.
Here are some photos of the day's activities.
Students explaining our 100 Great Books reading program and enjoying the library resources.
Students showing our school's 3D printing projects. The printer has been a hit at the school and we look forward to introducing more printing projects for the students to undertake in 2024.
As part of the school's collaboration with TATA Consultancy, students learnt how to develop their own apps to solve problems they saw in the world around them. Here are our students showing their Planet Guardian app which aims to demystify recycling, and their Lotus Translator app aimed at providing real-time voice translation from any language to English.
Here, our students show off what they are learning in class. Their class work showcase on their noticeboards. Their Class Creativity Projects were also shown.
Lotus Bridge International School has participated in the Singapore Science Centre's Science Buskers competition for the last 3 years. These are this year's groups who made it into the finals presenting their projects.
Last, but not least, games!
It was a wonderful day, and we all enjoyed the opportunity to meet the families in our school's extended community, both current and prospective. The students had a great time participating in the games, watching each others' presentations and showcasing their own work.
In addition to an opportunity for the school to open its doors to its broader community, it was an opportunity for the students to learn about the many projects across the school!
We will be doing Open Days every year, so keep a look out for our next one in 2024!
