Cheers and smiles abound at our first Sports and Outdoor Nurturing Activities (SONA) on the field in 2 years!
We had our last Sports Day in 2019, and since then, we have had to be creative in encouraging and facilitating physical and outdoor activities for our students. So, it was a lot of fun being back on the field in April, with exciting games and space to run and play.
Our SONA programme is about fostering sportsmanship, physical and mental well-being in our students, and here at Lotus Bridge, we take every opportunity to also develop leadership skills and inculcate values.
We were delighted to see our students embodying wonderful sportsmanship and the Lotus Bridge values (respect for others, care and concern, humility, integrity, fairness, honesty, perseverance, self-reliance, courtesy and service to others). They looked out for each other, tried their best, and played respectfully.
It was also wonderful to see our students and teachers enjoying themselves while getting the blood pumping and their heart rates up (of course while observing safe distancing measures).
We can't wait for more SONA activities on the field.
